Material order form
Material can be ordered with this form to be viewed in the Archives researchers’ hall in Sturenkatu 2a or in the Press Photo Archive JOKA at the Collections and Conservation Centre in Vantaa. The delivery time for the material is two weeks. The researchers’ hall is open Thu–Fri from 10 am to 4 pm (closed in July) and the Press Photo Archive is open by appointment.
The Finnish Heritage Agency’s picture collections, archaeological collections and archives will move to the Collections and Conservation Centre in Vantaa. The researcher service for archaeological and picture collections will end on 30 June 2023. Research material must be ordered for viewing on 15 June 2023 at the latest by using a material order form.
The customer services of the Finnish Heritage Agency’s archives and library will continue unchanged at the agency's Sturenkatu premises until further notice.
The customer services of the Press Photo Archive JOKA and the picture collection of the Maritime Museum of Finland will continue as normal at the Collections and Conservation Centre.
The aim is to open the customer service for the Finnish Heritage Agency’s picture and archaeology collections and archives in early 2026 in the new customer service facilities at the Agency’s Collections and Conservation Centre.
The library material in the open collections can be viewed without a prior order. Orders for the material in the storage collections are completed via Helka. Storage orders are collected daily. The material in the library’s special collections not catalogued in Helka-Finna may be ordered via email (email@example.com).
