Material order form
Analog materials from the archive can be ordered for research in the researchers' room through the Finnish Heritage Agency's Archive Service. The delivery time for the materials is two weeks. The archive's researchers' room is open Thursday to Friday from 10 am to 4 pm.
Material can be ordered with this form to be viewed in the researchers’ office in the Press Photo Archive JOKA at the Collections and Conservation Centre in Vantaa. The delivery time for the material is two weeks. The Press Photo Archive is open by appointment.

The Finnish Heritage Agency’s picture collections, archaeological collections and archives will move to the Collections and Conservation Centre in Vantaa. The researcher service for archaeological and picture collections ended on 30 June 2023. The library services have ended due to the move on 20 December 2024. The customer services of the Finnish Heritage Agency’s archives will continue unchanged at the agency's Sturenkatu premises until the move of the archives in August–September 2025, during which time the archive's customer service will be limited: the move will affect e.g. material delivery times.
The customer services of the Press Photo Archive JOKA and the Finnish Maritime Museum’s Picture Collection will continue as normal at the Collections and Conservation Centre.
The aim is to open the customer service for the Finnish Heritage Agency’s picture and archaeological collections in early 2026 in the new customer service facilities at the Agency’s Collections and Conservation Centre. The archive's customer service will continue at the Collections and Conservation Centre in October 2025.
The library material in the open collections can be viewed without a prior order. Orders for the material in the storage collections are completed via Helka. Storage orders are collected daily. The material in the library’s special collections not catalogued in Helka-Finna may be ordered via email (kirjasto@museovirasto.fi).
